In ELC, apart from using individual corneal topograph (shape of the cornea) as the basis to perform the customised ablation, we have introduced the Eagle Eye Vision® using wavefront technology as a basis to perform customised ablation. This wavefront technology uses the concept of the whole optical system of the eye and corrects any irregularities by “Eagle Eye Vision®” customised ablation program. As it uses the whole eye system instead of just the cornea, the expected visual result should be much superior. The term, Eagle Eye Vision is bestowed on a visual result, which may be compared to the proven superior vision of an eagle, capable of spotting tiny preys from hundreds of feet above the ground!
